MARK-EAT MARKET DESIGN

Traditional vegetable farms, especially the rural vegetable market, are usually more common, and the public places that carry thebasic needs of the surrounding residents. The common problems in the vegetable market have been reflected in the case: uncleanfood shopping environment, unordered food stalls, unobstructed outdoor stalls, chaotic streamline parking and so on.

This design attempts to solve the stereotype of the vegetable market in people’s minds from the streamline design itself, separating the incoming streamlines and shopping streamlines, and basically eliminates the possibility of “dirty mess”.

The vegetable market represents the ecology and relationship of a community life, and it is the space carrier of the city’s fireworks and life. This design attempts to further enrich its social attributes while addressing the basic needs of the market. Through theintroduction of the catering industry, the social form of “communication” is integrated into the vegetable market.

At the same time, in the process of building materials selection, this design respects the local soil materials in Yunnan, using concrete as the main structural material, and bamboo as the secondary structural material and decorative materials.

Whether it is a city or a country, people’s lives will eventually return to the food, clothing, housing and transportation. Designing a vegetable market for the sale of vegetables is the true meaning of this case from the social relations and the level of planning.
