Plus 8 X PechaKucha Night
July 25th, 2018
On the evening of July 25th, Plus 8 partner Chen Zhidong was invited by V-TALK to participate in the theme sharing session at the Vanke Cloud Design Commune. Using PKN's unique presentation, Mr. Chen used the recent project of Plus 8 as an example to explore how to maintain closeness with nature in high-density cities.

The theme of the talk is on Home, Yard, and Community

Although high-density development is an inevitable process of urban development, people are still eager to enjoy the opportunity to be close to nature in this concrete forest. Plus 8's new project is trying to bring eco-naturality into the reinforced concrete city, creating a courtyard-style social place, while reinventing the neighborhood, so that people can truly experience the feeling of a relaxed home.

The other three presentations were Adrian McGregor, Casey James Carlson and David S. Watson, bringing design and unmanned electric driving to BioUrbanism, Vertical Agriculture and Future Building, Vertical Farming & Future Building, and Smart City Systems, respectively. Future - Designing for Smart-Cities and the Future of Autonomous Electric Vehicles.
The wonderful sharing of architecture, city, landscape and design brought by the four speakers was easy to understand and directly hit the hearts of the people. After that, the speakers and the audience communicated frequently.
