Bridging Borders: Revitalizing Chung Ying Street Plaza
The renovation of the first building in Chung Ying Street Plaza focuses on enhancing visibility and accessibility for shops, addressing challenges posed by the site's slope. The facade is designed to evoke a contemporary waterfront town, incorporating green elements and a welcoming scale. By utilizing the height difference, the design creates multiple open first floors and integrates indoor and outdoor spaces through a multi-level gray area. The interior features a dynamic atrium connected by steps, transforming the space into a lively shopping environment that accommodates flexible tenants and encourages community interaction.
